ORGANIZATIONAL WELL-BEING

Burnout and employee turnover are reaching crisis levels across industries. A trauma-informed approach provides actionable, evidence-based strategies to foster workplace well-being, strengthen resilience, and create healthier, more engaged teams.

Through hands-on training, I equip organizations with the tools to cultivate psychological safety, reduce stress, and boost retention. My work with companies like Procter & Gamble has helped embed trauma-informed principles into daily operations—leading to more supportive, high-performing workplaces.

Let’s build a culture where employees don’t just work — they thrive.

MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCACY

As an Ambassador of The Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation, I advocate for the well-being of healthcare professionals. The Foundation honors Dr. Lorna Breen, a physician who died by suicide during the COVID-19 pandemic, and works to combat burnout, reduce stigma, and drive systemic change in healthcare.

Alongside fellow ambassadors, I help shape industry-wide well-being initiatives, advance awareness campaigns, and support research-backed programs that protect provider mental health. Through targeted trainings, I empower healthcare professionals to recognize, address, and normalize conversations around mental health — creating a culture where seeking support is not just accepted but encouraged.

CURRICULAR DEVELOPMENT

I have led transformative medical education initiatives, serving as Course Leader for the Doctoring Course at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. My expertise in trauma-informed care (TIC) has guided the development of customized curricula for top institutions, including Brown University, Harvard Medical School, Boston University School of Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Columbia University. In recognition of my contributions, I was honored with the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award.

By embedding TIC principles into medical education, I help train a new generation of healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that acknowledges the full scope of human experience.

EXPERT WITNESS SERVICES

Trauma-informed expertise is critical in the legal system, where understanding the effects of trauma can shape more just outcomes. As an expert witness, I provide key insights in trauma-related cases, helping courts and legal teams comprehend its profound impact.

I also collaborate with law firms to build a trauma-informed survivors’ practice — helping attorneys develop strategies to foster trust, improve client relationships, and achieve stronger case results. A trauma-informed legal approach enhances advocacy, ensuring survivors receive the sensitivity, respect, and support they deserve. Professionals in the legal system who are exposed to secondary trauma benefit from this skillset to continue healthy practice.

PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION

Public health education must be inclusive, empathetic, and trauma-informed. Routine medical procedures can be distressing or re-traumatizing for some individuals, which is why I partnered with the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) to develop a groundbreaking training toolkit for primary care providers.

My toolkit equips healthcare professionals with the skills to conduct trauma-informed screening for sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections — improving patient trust, access to care, and health outcomes.

Through education, I help shift public health practices to be more compassionate, accessible, and person-centered.
